Crafting Hospitality
The Nature and Spirit of Japan
Half Full, the food and drink creative studio within the Daily Beast, hosted and curated influential attendees for a series of eight events titled Crafting Hospitality. A custom educational booklet explored the Japanese principles of Omotenashi (hospitality) and Monozukuri (craftsmanship) and educated bartenders on the history of House of Suntory. Each event included an intimate tasting paired with authentic Japanese food and special whisky Toki, Haku vodka, and Roku gin cocktails. The cocktail recipes from all eight events were collected and designed into a pocket-sized book titled “Crafting Cocktails” that was distributed as a gift to attendees.
